Biography

Charlotte lived many years on the edge of a cranberry bog which had been recycled into conservation land. Within sight of the Atlantic Ocean, Monomoy Island, Nantucket Sound and beach, she was blessed with views of sailboats, gulls, swan, cardinals, curlew, king fisher, ducks, geese, blue heron and many shore birds.

Summer times there were butterflies, snowy egrets and ruddy turnstone to brighten up the day - and with good fortune, a rare Black Skimmer or majestic osprey would be seen.

Naturally these lovely surroundings were often captured in her paintings. Chatham lighthouse, Hyannis harbor, quaint summer cottages in Brewster became natural subjects.

You are invited to browse the samples of her craft. Perhaps a scene will kindle a whiff of salt air, develop a nostalgic taste of Orleans scallops or conjure a view of fishermen at the Chatham fish pier.
